AMBER + JOSH // FARGO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

July 22nd, 2014

Amber and Josh’s wedding had a lot of ‘firsts’ for me. It was the first reception I ever documented at Ushers in Moorhead and the first time I’ve witnessed the maid of honor and best man give their speeches while standing on a bar. They had that placed packed with friends and family, which made the atmosphere at their reception so fun! Their day was filled with lots of smiles and laughter. I was totally obsessed with Amber’s bouquet and you’ll see why. The beautiful colors throughout their day really made my job quite easy. It was truly an honor to document. Congratulations Amber and Josh! : )

Cheers,

Emily

EMILY + GARRETT // FARGO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

    July 11th, 2014

I’ve got another stunning wedding to share with you today. Emily and Garrett’s wedding was a dream. They hosted their reception and dance at her parents’ home. It was the perfect setting for their day. The clouds were heavy all day and they managed to hold out on the rain for portraits, which made me one happy camper. The clouds made a huge soft box for their images, so the colors just popped! My favorite. During their tented reception we did get a few minutes of hard core rain, which provided for some amusement. But all of the guests and vendors worked together to keep the events rolling and it was so much fun, even if we did get a little soaked. Check out these beautiful smiles and details. Enjoy : )

I had to post this picture of Emily’s family. They were such a fun bunch and this photo showed their personalities perfectly.

Their signature drinks below : ) I thought that was such a cute idea.

    Cheers,

    Emily

BETH + HARI // FARGO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

      July 9th, 2014

This wedding season has completely blown me away. I have had the privilege of being a part of so many gorgeous and unique weddings. Beth and Hari’s wedding was incredibly special to me because it was the very first Hindu ceremony that I’ve ever documented. It was a little nerve wrecking considering that I had never been to a Hindu ceremony before, but Hari and Beth’s families were so welcoming and helpful, which made their day a huge success. There were so many beautiful moments that I really enjoyed capturing. The details were absolutely stunning and the colors were gorgeous. I was on cloud nine all day. Thank you so much Beth and Hari, for trusting me to document this beautiful ceremony for you. I am so bummed that I will not be there in November to document your Christian ceremony (baby boy Koska is due right before their wedding), but I cannot wait to see the images from the day. Enjoy : )

      Cheers,

      Emily

CASSIE + JAKE // FARGO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

        July 7th, 2014

Cassie and Jake’s wedding day was an absolute dream. The Vintage Garden was the most gorgeous backdrop for their day. The weather was perfect and provided some stunning lighting. I’m totally obsessed with all of the colors from Cassie’s bright pink lip stick to the yellow bow ties. Everything was beautiful. I had so much fun with their spunky bridal party, too. Enjoy : )

        Cheers,

        Emily

MAGGIE + BRANDON // FARGO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

          June 20th, 2014

With all of this rainy weather lately, it sure has been frustrating for us natural light photographers. But I must admit, luck has been on my side so far. I’ve had rain at almost all of my weddings and we’ve managed to work around it, which is amazing!! As much as we all love to complain about a little rain on a wedding day, it sure does create a beautiful soft box for lighting which makes gorgeous images. Maggie and Brandon’s wedding day at the Oxbow Country Club was filled with so much color and I absolutely loved it. These two are so in love that a few sprinkles at the end of their ceremony couldn’t hold them back from sharing the excitement with everyone. They really embraced the weather and it made it SO much fun for me. Maggie brought along this huge bright colored umbrella, which really fit well with their color scheme for the day. When we decided to snap a few photos with them it, her and Brandon started singing “It’s a jolly holiday with Mary…” and if you don’t know what that’s from I feel bad. Marry Poppins!! Seriously I about died. Love that movie! So needless to say, we really had the best time. Thank you so much Maggie and Brandon for sharing your special day with me. Enjoy : )

          Cheers,

          Emily

KARA + BRET // FARGO ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER

            June 19th, 2014

Engagement sessions are my favorite! I love the time I get to spend with couples getting to know them before their wedding day. Bret and Kara’s engagement session fell on a humid and overcast day at one of my favorite locations. The clouds were heavy and the rain was just minutes away, but we managed to squeeze their session in with just a few mosquito bites and no rain. The overcast skies made some pretty lighting! The colors were beautiful and these two looked stunning. Can’t wait for your big day this fall! Enjoy! : )

            Cheers,

            Emily

TESS + IAN // FARGO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

              June 10th, 2014

I cannot believe how many beautiful weddings I’ve already had the pleasure of being a part of so far this 2014 wedding season. Ian and Tess’s wedding day was a joy to document. Their families were so welcoming and their day was filled to the brim with special moments. I have to give a shout out to Ian, who proposed to Tess in the COOLEST way. During the reception we watched the video that Ian played for Tess when he proposed. He basically reenacted the Lord of the Rings (one of my favorite movies ever) and it was the sweetest and funniest proposal ever. I loved it so much that I almost want to ask for a copy of it. I feel so lucky to have such wonderful clients who I have so many things in common with. Without further ado, Mr and Mrs Black! Enjoy : )

              Cheers,

              Emily

ERIN + RYAN // WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

                June 6th, 2014

My 2014 wedding season kicked off with a fabulous wedding at Grand View Lodge! Erin and Ryan’s day was flawless. The weather was beautiful and the details were stunning. I felt so lucky to be documenting their day. The way that Ryan looked at Erin throughout the day was the sweetest thing ever. It was incredibly hard to pick my favorites, so this blog post ended up a little long. Enjoy : )

                Cheers,

                Emily

THE VINTAGE GARDEN // STYLIZED SHOOT

                  May 27th, 2014

A few weeks ago I had the privilege of joining a group of super talented photographers in the FM area to do a stylized wedding shoot. I felt so lucky to shoot along side my peers. Our models, Ashely and Ryan, were absolutely flawless and I could not be happier with the way this shoot turned out. We were fortunate enough to have several fabulous vendors in the area collaborate on this project with us and without their talents, none of this would have been possible. Thank you so so much, for sacrificing your time to help us bring this vision to life. Please check out these wonderful vendors!! You won’t disappointed : )

TOM + RICHELLE // FARGO ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER

                    May 13th, 2014

I seriously cannot believe that the 2014 wedding season is right around the corner. It seems like yesterday I was wrapping up the 2013 season. The winter really did fly by! I am so ready for busy season. I’m ready to get behind my camera more and enjoy the sunshine. I feel like I’ve been trapped indoors for soooo long, it really sucks the creative juices out of me. So I am pumped and ready for a fabulous wedding season filled to the brim with gorgeous couples and breathtaking weddings.

Tom and Richelle’s engagement session was so much fun. They seriously brought their ‘A’ game and rocked their session, despite the chilly temps and overcast skies. They are such a stunning couple and I am super excited for their wedding day.

                    Cheers,

                    Emily
