These two are seriously the most adorable couple. Wyatt is one special guy, I tell ya! Before they were even engaged, he contacted me about being their wedding photographer. He lined things up perfectly! So the first time I met Mariah was at their session and finally I could put a face to this gorgeous girl that Wyatt was talking about. I had a blast at their session downtown. We hopped around a few fun spots and even snapped a couple pictures in Babb’s Coffee House. It was incredibly difficult narrowing these down, so please forgive me for the picture overload. They were just so outgoing and giggly, that I couldn’t get rid of any! I’m sure these will put a huge smile on your face. I can’t wait for your big day next summer, it’s going to be fabulous! Enjoy : )

As a photographer, I always get just a little nervous before an engagement session. It’s the very first time I get the opportunity to see how the couple will interact in front of my camera, so I get a feeling of pressure to perform well. It almost feels like a test to determine whether or not we will fit well. For me, the most important aspect of my business and my brand is creating an experience for each couple that is both enjoyable and fun. I pride myself in making each couple feel comfortable in front of my camera, so you can see how the pressure can quickly add up. But honestly I feel so blessed to have the couples I do, because they’re each so amazing and continuously make my job enjoyable! The nerves always quickly subside and I always have such a good time. Justin and Stevi’s engagement session was a perfect example. I was slightly anxious and nervous, but they were complete naturals in front of my camera from the first image I took. We had their session at the Plains Art Museum, one of my favorite indoor locations. There are so many areas to utilize and it’s always a bonus to stay inside where it’s nice and warm. At the end of their session we managed to sneak outside for a few fun shots in the freezing cold. Enjoy : )

I am so excited to share these adorable images with you all. Dave and Kayla’s engagement session was so unique. I love shooting at the Fargo Air Museum. It provides such a fun backdrop and lots of pretty natural light. With the temperature dropping and the typical freezing North Dakota wind, it’s becoming harder to do sessions outside! We did the majority of their session indoors and then stepped outside for just a few downtown. Thank you so much Dave and Kayla for allowing me to document this special time for you both. Best of luck with the wedding planning!! Enjoy : )

Chase and Katie’s wedding day was absolutely breathtaking. There were so many beautiful details that made their wedding day simply stunning. Just wait until you see the gorgeous reception shots! I really enjoyed documenting Chase and Katie’s day and their wedding party was quite entertaining, even with the frigid weather that day! So many beautiful moments that I’m sure will put a smile on your face. Thank you so much Chase and Katie! Enjoy : )
Chase had to check out his beautiful bride!
Love it when couples bring their furry friends : )

Ahron and Stacey’s wedding at Grand View Lodge was definitely epic. It was my first time photographing a wedding there and I instantly fell in love. Seriously, this location is absolutely breathtaking. It provided the best backdrops for their day and there were so many fun little spots. We were able to do a few shots with the groomsmen at the Pub, the girls having fun in the candy shop, and the bridal party in their basement restaurant and wine cellar. It was a photographers creative dream! There were so many stunning details and beautiful moments throughout their special day, I felt so blessed to be able to document it. Stacey was breathtaking and Ahron was looking rather dapper himself. Can I just give him a shout out for the fabulous job he did on selecting his own suit? I LOVED it!! Thank you so much Ahron and Stacey for allowing me to be a part of your beautiful day. Enjoy : )
The candy shop! So much fun : )
Ahron and Stacey didn’t see each other until she walked down the aisle. Such a beautiful moment.
Such a breathtaking backdrop!!
The wine cellar and basement restaurant – Cru. What a fun idea!

To say that I am excited for Jake and Cassie’s wedding day would be an understatement. After spending the afternoon with these two, I became incredibly anxious for their big day. I had a blast getting to know them and I quickly realized how adorable they are together. And can I just say they’re super photogenic, too! Loved their outfit choices…bring out the scarves and boots. My favorite! Seriously everyone has had the best fashion taste this year, except me! Enjoy : )
People driving by were probably curious why a photographer would take pictures right in front of a sign like the one below. But I promise, I’m not THAT crazy. This building has a special meaning to Jake and Cassie who met as architecture students at NDSU. They spend lots of time together here, so it was fun to get a few shots there.
Obsessed with these alley shots below. I looove me some black and white images.

I’m so glad I got the opportunity to spend the afternoon with these two. Blake and Shea were so natural in front of the camera and you can totally tell that they are head over heels for each other. They’ve been together since high school, how special is that! A fellow pair of high school sweethearts. If some of you didn’t already know, my husband and I were high school sweet hearts. He only had to ask me out for three months straight before I finally told him I’d be his girlfriend. Good thing I finally caved in! Now we’re eight years and going strong (three years married)!! Anyways, I hope you enjoy these lovely images as much as I do : )

Brian and Alli’s wedding day was so incredibly special. I can’t help but smile non-stop when I am around these two because their smiles are so infectious! These two are so head over heels for one another, it was refreshing to witness such beautiful moments throughout their wedding day. Not to mention the details were stellar. I was seriously drooling over Alli’s dress. It was absolutely breathtaking. Love love loved it!! I think it left Brian speechless the first time he saw Alli, you’ll have to check it out. I had so much fun and I truly enjoyed the entire day. Thank you so much Brian and Alli for allowing me to be a part of your special day. Enjoy : )
Brian’s reaction was priceless.
Alli was such a stunning bride. I could have taken pictures of her all day.
Little did Brian know….his groomsmen were going a little crazy behind him.
Oh those crazy groomsmen….they sure did provide some good laughs!
One of the BEST maid of honor speeches ever. You killed it, Britta!! And I’m pretty sure she knew it by her expression below.
I don’t know why….but the photo below is one of my favorites from their day!

I’ve said this so many times before, but if you would have asked me three years ago if I was going to be a wedding photographer I probably would have laughed in your face. It still baffles me how much my life has changed over the course of the last few years. Leaving my full time nursing career to pursue wedding photography full time was one of the scariest decisions I have ever made, yet it still remains one of the most rewarding too. Who wouldn’t want a photographer who also happens to be a nurse/ninja on their wedding day? But seriously, I wouldn’t change a thing. I am so excited with the direction life is heading.
Why the self reflection? Well, because of this awesome couple below! Kyle and Megan went to high school with me and we were all in the same graduating class. How crazy is that? This is the FOURTH couple now from high school that I’ve had the privilege of being their wedding photographer and I feel so fortunate. But I still have to chuckle at the thought that I am their wedding photographer. So stinkin’ cool!! I bet if you would have asked my friends in high school if I was going to be their wedding photographer one day, they would have laughed too.
Kyle and Megan made the trek from Watertown, SD for their session and I am so glad they did. We were able to catch the beautiful fall colors just before they left. It was a super windy day, but we survived and I am happy with how awesome their images turned out. Thank you so much, Kyle and Megan! Can’t wait for your big day! Enjoy : )
Can I just point out how much I love Megan’s hair?! Gorgeous!
One of my favorites.
I loved the wind effect below : ) Such a sweet moment.
So there’s a bit of a height difference…..and I think it’s so cute!

Hari and Bethany’s engagement session landed on a gorgeous evening. It’s hard to believe that just two weeks ago the sun was shining and it was warm enough to wander around without a coat on. This morning as I was walking out to my car, snowflakes were falling! Where did fall go? I feel like it was here and gone. But that only means one good thing….CHRISTMAS IS COMING and Christmas is my absolute favorite. Not gonna lie, Michael Buble Christmas tunes have been gracing my pandora station lately. I just can’t resist.
I really enjoyed spending time with Bethany and Hari at their session. These two are so funny. I loved our discussions on various important topics throughout their session….like spanx and the pizzaz. These two make a fantastic pair and you’ll see why very soon. I feel so fortunate to be able to document your special day! Let the countdown begin! Enjoy : )
